Six Pack Diet

While exercise is important to get a six pack (as you can’t have a defined six pack if you don’t have any muscle), how to diet? is actually much more important. Think about it this way – you could have the hardest muscles in the world, but no one will be able to tell if your stomach is covered in layers of fat. Simply put, the best way to show off your six pack is to eat a healthy diet that will help you lose weight and fat, resulting in a well formed physique that you can be proud of at the pool, the gym, or wherever you go.
It’s All in the Food
To start off, if you are wondering how to get a six pack, you need to take some time to formulate a diet plan. Doing crunches and other abs exercise is great, but will not result in targeted weight loss, which is what you need to ensure that you have a visible and well defined midsection. There are certain foods that some have labeled the “six pack diet” because they are so effective in helping people achieve the results they want in a short period of time. Aim for foods that are high in protein but low in fat (such as grilled chicken, turkey, or pretty much any type of fish) while avoiding foods that are chemically processed, such as fast food or frozen meals.
Counting Calories is a Lifesaver
Just as important as eating specific foods, however, is keeping a limited calorie diet. You may want to use a calorie counter to help you figure out your recommended daily caloric intake. Knowing how to get a six pack is only half the battle, though – so get out there and start eating right and you’ll finally start to see the results you want.
